A strange thing happened when the COVID-19 pandemic ushered in a new reality – working from home. Companies found that this arrangement could work. Employees were equally, if not more, productive. Communication did not suffer, and in fact improved as many firms learned how to harness the power and efficiency of remote online video meetings. Lots of employees were happier with this arrangement too, particularly its convenience and eliminating the commute.

Previously, 50% of all U.S. businesses were home-based, and 43% of American employees were already working from home at least some of the time. Setting up their space for working from home was nothing new for them. Still, interest in home offices surged in March-April 2020, and one of the likely long-term effects of the pandemic is millions more Americans working from home. 

Working from home solutions are, and will be, a much higher priority for homeowners.
