Over the last year, Design Basics , has been hosting think tanks, where individuals from the building industry come together to share ideas and insights on the latest trends in new homes. As a practical application, the attendees break into groups to redesign a popular home plan to suit their tastes or current markets.

This Home Plan Makeover is the result of one of these groups, whose members are profiled below. They were handed copies of the Paterson 1380, shown at left. With the help of one of Design Basics’ designers, they changed it into the Peony 42038. To allow you to follow the changes, the women ’s requests are highlighted in 10 numbers which correspond with the completed floor plan at right.
